In the 7th anniversary of his beatification
"Here he is humble, silent, recollected in his thoughts run from prayer works, always ready to read the signs of the times. Our Alberione has given the Church new instruments to express herself, new means to give strength and breadth to its apostolic ... May the Pope, on behalf of the whole Church, express its gratitude. "
So says Paul VI June 28, 1969. Alberione is accompanied by the Pope by participants at the second General Chapter, and a large representation of Paolini and Paolini. On this occasion, the Pope granted to the founder of the Pauline Family the cross "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice.
Two years later, on November 26, 1971, in the late afternoon, Paul VI visited private Alberione dying. At 18.26 the same day Alberione his earthly existence. The last words that he left as a testament to his spiritual sons and daughters are an invitation to hope: "I die ... I pray for all, Heaven."
These are the milestones of his life:
1884, April 4 - James Alberione was born in San Lorenzo di Fossano (Cuneo), Piedmont, North of Italy.
1890-1891 - started primary school in Cherasco (Cuneo) and one year after the teacher says: "I will be great priest."
1896, October 25 - Join Seminar Bra (Cuneo). It was released in April 1900.
1900, October - Get into the seminary in Alba (Cuneo). It is directed by Can. Church.
1900, December 31 - During the night worship in the Cathedral of Alba "felt compelled to do something for the Lord and men of the new century."
1907, June 29 - was ordained priest in Alba. He graduated in theology, and after a brief ministry in Narzole, he was appointed spiritual director of seminarians.
1912 - He began publishing the magazine "Pastoral Life".
1913, September 12 - took the direction of the weekly "Journal d'Alba".
1914, August 20 - School Opens typographical "Little Worker", the forthcoming Society of St. Paul (SSP), with two children: Desiderio Costa, Torquato Armani.

1957, April-May - First General Chapter of the SSP institutions, FSP, PDDM.
1959, June 29 - Founding of the Sisters of Mary Queen of Apostles for vocations, "Apostoline.
1960 April - Monthly Course Exercises Ariccia (Rome) for the update and approval Pauline pontifical institutes of consecrated secular life, aggregates the Society of St. Paul: Jesus the Priest, St. Gabriel the Archangel, Maria SS. Annunciation and the Holy Family.
1962-1965 - Alberione participate in the Second Vatican Council.

1981, May 4 - Clearance for the Cause of her Beatification.
1996, June 25 - was declared Venerable by Pope John Paul II.
2003, April 27 - Don Alberione was declared Blessed. This
