History
The contest Alberione Award "was established in 2003 in Alba (CN), as a tribute to the figure and message of Don Giacomo Alberione (1884-1971), priest Piedmont, founder of the Pauline Family, an apostle of communicating the Gospel through mass media and precursor of Vatican Council II. The first edition of the contract involved more than 2,000 students and 125 teachers in the area, which is engaged with enthusiasm in making all kinds of papers, using all the languages \u200b\u200bof the media. The festival awards became a national event.
In 2006 it became one of the initiatives promoted by Pauline and Pauline at the "Communication Week", a formula for preparing and organizing the World Day of Social Communications, through a series of cultural events, publications, educational courses and events for the general public that revolve around the theme each year by the Pope to this day.
