Dear brothers and sisters,
the ninth General Chapter of the Society of St. Paul, Saturday, May 8, 2010, the eighth vote, at 18.10, was elected as Superior General, Fr Silvio Sassi. This will be his second term.
"With God's help and with the collaboration of all the Pauline world, I accept." With these words, followed by the whole assembly dall'applauso, Don Sassi has answered the usual question formulated by the Secretary of the Chapter. The newly elected thanked everyone, raising the missionary commitment of the congregation with the words of Blessed Giacomo Alberione, who felt compelled to do something for people today. Our congregation is not firm, said Don Sassi, but walks firmly towards the future. Thus, "we're proud and proud to be Pauline."

Don Silvio Sassi, born in the Vezzano Crostolo (Reggio Emilia, Italy) on 10.07.1949, entered the Congregation in Modena in 1960, he made his first profession in 1967 and was ordained priest in 1977 .
